Joy Education Foundation is seeking a Revenue Operations Manager to design, manage, and continuously improve systems that power revenue generation and relationship-building.

This role sits at the intersection of fundraising, data, and communications. You will lead fundraising operations, CRM tracking, prospecting, funder/donor engagement, partnership outreach and follow-up, grant tracking and reporting, and revenue-facing newsletters.

You will work closely with leadership to ensure Joy Education has a clear, accurate picture of its revenue pipeline and strong, consistent engagement with funders, donors, and partners.

About Joy Education

Joy Education Foundation is a technology-nonprofit that provides virtual support for reading to K-12 students and provides on-demand training for teachers, parents and other community volunteers to address literacy needs in their community.

Revenue operations is critical to Joy Education’s ability to expand access to high-dosage reading tutoring and mobile/virtual reading clinics in communities with the greatest need.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Operations & Systems

  • Design, document, and manage end-to-end fundraising workflows (prospecting → cultivation → proposal → stewardship).

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recurring revenue activities (campaigns, renewals, reporting).

  • Build and refine revenue dashboards that provide visibility into pipelines for foundations, corporate partners, individual donors, and public grants.

CRM Tracking & Data Hygiene

  • Own day-to-day management of Joy Education’s CRM for fundraising and partnerships.

  • Maintain clean, accurate records for contacts, organizations, opportunities, and interactions.

  • Track opportunity stages, ask amounts, and expected close dates; update records after every key touchpoint.

  • Generate regular summary reports for leadership and board on pipeline health and performance.

Prospecting & Pipeline Development

  • Research and qualify new foundations, corporate partners, philanthropic collaboratives, and major donor prospects aligned to Joy Education priorities.

  • Build organized prospect lists and segment them by geography, interest area, and program alignment.

  • Prepare prospect briefs for key meetings, including giving history and alignment notes.

  • Maintain a prioritized outreach and follow-up schedule to keep the pipeline active.

Funder/Donor Engagement & Stewardship

  • Coordinate and log all communications with funders and donors (emails, calls, meetings, events).

  • Draft follow-up emails, thank-you notes, and next-step summaries after meetings.

  • Support leadership with prep materials for funder meetings (decks, one-pagers, talking points).

  • Help design thoughtful stewardship touches (impact updates, spotlights, invitations).

Partnership Outreach & Follow-Up Communications

  • Manage outreach campaigns to school districts, community partners, and aligned organizations.

  • Develop email templates and outreach sequences for introductions, follow-ups, and renewals.

  • Track partner engagement in CRM and flag renewals or at-risk relationships.

  • Support scheduling and coordination of introductory calls and demos.

Grant Tracking & Grant Reporting

  • Maintain a master grants calendar, including LOIs, proposals, reports, and key relationship milestones.

  • Enter and track all grant opportunities, deadlines, and requirements in CRM/project management tools.

  • Coordinate internal inputs (program data, budgets, narratives) for grant applications and reports.

  • Draft or support drafting of grant reports in collaboration with program, evaluation, and finance team members.

Newsletter & Revenue-Facing Communications

  • Maintain a regular newsletter calendar for donors, funders, and partners.

  • Draft, edit, and coordinate newsletters that showcase program impact, stories, and opportunities to engage.

  • Segment lists (current funders, prospects, partners, champions) and tailor messaging by audience.

  • Monitor basic email performance metrics (open/click rates) and adjust strategies accordingly.

You meet many of these criteria:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in fundraising operations, development operations, revenue operations, or related work in nonprofits or social enterprises.

  • Hands-on experience using a CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Airtable, Bloomerang, Kindful, or similar) to manage contacts and pipelines.

  • Strong written communication skills, especially for professional emails, funder/donor updates, and light copywriting.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal oversight.

  • Comfort working with data and basic analysis (reports, exports, dashboards).

  • Experience with grant management, grant reporting, or grant writing is a plus.

  • Experience in K–12 education, literacy, edtech, or adjacent fields is a plus.

  • Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design on-brand assets for campaigns, programs, and events (social graphics, one-pagers, flyers, slide decks, email and web visuals).
  • Maintain and evolve Joy Education’s visual identity system (typography, color, iconography, templates, and brand guidelines).
  • Build templates and toolkits (Canva/Figma/Google Slides) that enable staff to self-serve while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Produce compelling report and publication layouts (impact briefs, case studies, data summaries), including accessible PDFs.
  • Create graphics and simple animations for web, video, and social; export/rasterize assets optimized for various platforms.
  • Collaborate on data visualization for research, program evaluation, and grant reporting; turn findings into audience-friendly visuals.
  • Support website visuals (hero images, illustrations, infographics, thumbnails) and ensure designs meet accessibility and responsiveness standards.
  • Coordinate with program, development, and community teams to keep materials current and aligned with messaging.
  • Manage asset libraries and file hygiene; name, version, and organize source files for team reuse.
